Who would have thought that beetroot would taste SO good in a smoothie!? Not to mention its fantastic cleansing qualities! So what exactly does beetroot do that’s so good?
– As an amazing liver and blood purifier, beets assist the body in detoxification.
– Super high in Vitamin C!
– Reliable source of magnesium, potassium & folate.
– Full of phyto-nutrients, specifically betalains, that have been studied in the prevention of cancer.
– Great source of fiber
THE CLEANSING ONE
1 medium beetroot peeled and chopped
2 handfuls of leafy greens
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1/2 orange (with white peel)
1 cup of water/coconut water
2 ice cubes (optional)
Method: Place greens and beet in the blender with the water and whizz up until smooth. Then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender, whizz again, and enjoy!
